Olusegun Obasanjo will be held responsible should a military takeover of the Nigerian government happen, said a civil society activist, Ayodele Akele.
Akele, National Secretary of the National Conscience Party (NCP), expressed this opinion at a civil society-media interaction event in recognition of the 2013 Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism awardees organized by the Civil Society Network Against Corruption (CISNAC) in Lagos on Monday.
Akele also advised Nigerians to be ready for "the worst", as, from his point of view, Obasanjo, the former president, "drives" the nation to a dangerous cliff.
He further called not to let Obasanjo and his "cohorts" to "set agenda for us".
It will be recalled, that a Obasanjo's letter to the President Goodluck Jonathan has been surrounded by much controversy, that has a new turn after Jonathan came up with a reply.
