FG Begs Ex -Militants To Eschew Violence
The amnesty office has appealed to ex-militants in the Niger Delta region not to resort to violence over the delay in the payment of the May allowances owed onshore and offshore beneficiaries of the scheme.
In a release by the amnesty office, Mr. Daniel Alabrah, head of media and communications dismissed rumours that the director of finance and accounts, Mr. Peter Ayoola, was planning to divert funds meant for beneficiaries of the programme.

According to Vanguard, the Office urged the militants to eschew violence and avoid truncating the plans of Muhammadu Buhari to invest heavily in the scheme.
It called on the ex-militants to be patient with the new government which needs time to settle down to the serious business of governance.

Meanwhile, former militant generals under the platform of Niger Delta Amnesty Leaders have promised President Muhammadu Buhari that they will do everything necessary to ensure peace in oil rich region.
