Muhammadu Buhari Wins In Ondo State

General Muhammadu Buhari, the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, has secured victory in Ondo state.

The results were provided in the early morning of March 30, Monday, Premium Times reports.

Both Muhammadu Buhari and Goodluck Jonathan won in nine out of 18 local government areas of the state. The APC candidate received 299,889 votes, while the PDP candidate polled 251,368 votes.

The total number of eligible voters in Ondo state stood at 1,501, 549 while the total of valid votes cast was 561,056.

Interestingly, it had been expected that the former military head of state would fail in the PDP-controlled state, where the South West co-coordinator for the Goodluck Presidential campaign Gov Olusegun Mimiko hitherto held sway.

The results were announced at the INEC office in Alagbaka, Akure.
