F is back on his feet and it is all thanks to popular Nigerian billionaire, Femi Otedola, who through his charity foundation, came to the aide of Ebong.

Forceful retirement and subsequent illness

According to Vanguard, Ebong who until his retirement in 2002, was an Associate Professor, Department of Theatre Arts, University of Uyo in Akwa Ibom State.

In August of 2020, he fell sick and, according to the medical report, Ebong was brought to the hospital with congestive cardiac failure.

Femi Otedola reached out to Ebong

The news was published by Premium Times. Shortly after, Femi Otedola reached out to assist the lecturer through foundation.

In a recent video shared on Instagram by Dele Momodu, a frail Ebong walking without assistance as he thanked the billionaire for coming to his rescue.

Vanguard also revealed that Ebong was ‘forcefully’ and ‘unjustly’ retired by the university authorities in 2002.

Despite a string of victories in court, following his several legal battles with the institution, he has been consistently denied reinstatement.

Musician Mr Eazi recently turned 30 and he received a birthday message from his girlfriend Temi's dad Femi Otedola.

The billionaire took to his Instagram page to share a photo with his daughter Temi's boyfriend.

Otedola, in his usual simple fashion, wished the musician a happy birthday. He then urged him to stay easy.
