- Jose Mourinho was sacked last month at Premier League side Tottenham
- Bale's agent Barnett claimed that the Portuguese did not give his client freedom
- Mourinho will be in charge of Italian side Roma from next football League season
Jonathan Barnett who is the agent of Tottenham star Gareth Bale has slammed Jose Mourinho for his inability to give the Welshman more freedom in the team before he was sacked.
Mourinho replaced Pochettino at Tottenham and was saddled with the responsibility of changing the club's fortune which he failed to achieve.
Following poor run of form this season in the Premier League in which Tottenham got only one win in six topflight games, Jose Mourinho was sacked by the club's chiefs.
Unlike how some managers would have to wait for some months before getting another job, Jose Mourinho days later was appointed as the new coach of Roma and will be in charge next term.
After things turned sour between Gareth Bale and Zidane at Real Madrid, the winger had to return to the Premier League.
According to the report on Metro, his agent Jonathan Barnett claimed that Jose Mourinho should have allowed Gareth Bale to play more free role in his team.
‘'As I said to Spurs at the beginning, if you give him a run, put your trust in him, let him play his own game, don’t start telling him he’s got to do this and that, treat him like a Lionel Messi or a Cristiano Ronaldo.
'‘It’s been proven that every time he’s been left like that he’s gone and scored a lot goals. He’s world class.''
Moses who has been with the Blues since 2012 insisted that Antonio Conte is a better manager than the current Tottenham boss.
The 30-year-old who is currently on loan to Russian outfit Spartak Moscow had less playing time under Mourinho during the manager’s second spell at Stamford Bridge between 2013 and 2015.
Moses was shipped out on loan to Stoke City and Liverpool during that period and it appears he is yet to forgive the Portuguese.
