According to him, some cases of SGBV were carried out in a household where children are expected to feel safe and secured, adding that many children now live in perpetual fear.

Muktar added that with minors being constantly abused right under the watch of their parents or guardians, carers must become sensitive and conscious to ensure the safety of the children.

In her presentation, another presenter, Ijeoma, said that one of the causes of SGBV cases is poverty, saying that the inability of many families to afford childcare pushes them to leave their children with anyone, even people with bad intentions who end up harming the child/children under their care.

She said that people should be educated on the effective ways of engaging government for sustainable social impact and how to mobilize communities to respond to community issues.

Ijeoma also engaged the participants on how to increase the capacity of a community, helping them identify and address their own needs as a community while generating local solutions to the problems of their community.

It was reported that taking to his Twitter page to give the piece of advice, Bamiloye said joining the movement may make ladies miss the will of God for their lives.

He said feminism wants to contest the head of the home with the man, adding that married ladies should not join the movement if they want to get the best out of their marriage.
