- Ibrahimovic scored his 500th and 501st career club goals in the 4-0 win over Crotone at the San Siro
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is believed to have made a gesture of directors of AC Milan while celebrating his goals against Crotone in the past weekend, Daily Mail.
The Italian media have interpreted the message that the veteran striker wants another year added to his contract at the San Siro.
Ibrahimovic earned a one-year extension last season after a successful six-month loan spell and the Swede wants a deal that will keep him at the club until he is 41.
The 39-year-old grabbed his 500 and 501st career goals for the Rossoneri during their 4-0 thrashing of Crotone to retain top spot on the Serie A table with two points.
Milan are on course to break the Juventus monopoly of titles as they look to end the nine-year dominance of the Biaconeri.
Ibrahimovic surpassed the 500-goal mark in his illustrious club career as Milan remained at the summit of the Serie A table thanks to a 4-0 victory over Crotone at San Siro.
Milan boss Stefano Pioli has also expressed his desires for the Swede to remain the club beyond the current season.
"Zlatan is happy with us and I think the best thing about this team is that the players are happy.
"We are with a huge club, everyone wants to do well and I think it's right that he continues playing, and that he does it with us.
"He is an athlete who is highly motivated, is scrupulous in the way he looks after his body with everything from diet to recovery. He's tired, but you don't stay at this level for this long without looking after yourself.
"It's almost a race nowadays between the players to get to training early and leave later than anyone else. We're enjoying ourselves and want to give our best."
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Zlatan Ibrahimovic was the star of the show when AC Milan further cemented their position on top of the Serie A table following a 4-0 thrashing of newly-promoted Crotone.
The 39-year-old put his side ahead in the 30th minute as his shot sailed in the top corner to make it 1-0.
It was Ibrahimovic's 500th career goal in his 21st season as a professional player which began back in 1999.
