A US-based Nigerian actress, Ovi James, has poured out her heart to her mother in an open letter which was publicly shared on her official Instagram page.

The physically-challenged actress noted that as she is about to begin a health-related cleansing process and there is also a need to have emotional detoxification.

James in the lengthy letter detailed her health challenges over the course of the years and how she was diagnosed with primary progressive multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia and endometriosis.

According to the actress, her mother who is also a medical doctor had ignored early symptoms and instead suggested a spiritual deliverance.

"You ignored all my early symptoms, you blamed me every single time I got sick, you demonized me so much all you could say to me was, “Ovi, you need deliverance”. From you? Most definitely.You got mad at me when I went to the doctor. Several times you told me I was wasting my money. IMAGINE."

In a different portion of the letter, James accused her mother of once taking her son away from her and saying she was “not good enough to raise a man”.

The actress also recounted how she was homeless for four years and was abandoned by her mother.

"I was homeless for 4 years. You abandoned me but have some nerve to still preach the gospel. And then wonder why I don’t believe in your God. You forgot that the year before I got sick I watched you spend $30,000 on your church people then you came to my city and claimed to be broke. I had to pay for your hotel stay while you trashed talked me the entire time."
