Governor Makinde, the "Nigerian Roger Federer"

On Tuesday, December 22, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state declared open the GSM Tennis Championship 2020.

The initiative which is a personal project of the governor is aimed at discovering new talents and nurturing them to the level where they can compete on the world stage.

Governor Makinde, however, used the opportunity to shed some calories as he played an exhibition tennis match with his chief of staff, Bisi Ilaka.

The Oyo state governor said he had his "Roger Federer level on" as he defeated his chief of staff in the match.
