The 21-year-old opened his goal account for the 2020-21 season in their Villarreal's 2-0 La Liga victory over Real Valladolid earlier this week.
Chukwueze scored a stunning close-range goal in the 21st minute after making a run into the opponents' danger zone to connect with a pass from Alfonso Pedraza.
His goal in the game earned him a spot on the team that also has Karim Benzema and Lionel Messi in a two-man attack.
Meanwhile, apart from the Super Eagles attacker, Villarreal have three more players in the team of the week for matchday nine.
Pau Torres, Raul Albiol and Alfonso Pedraza complete the four players shortlist from the Yellow Submarines in the team of the week. Unai Emery's side also has the highest number of stars on the shortlist.
Federico Valverde joins Benzema while David Silva of real Sociedad also made the team of the week.
Christian Tello, former Barcelona player is the only Real Betis star on the list, while Deportivo Alaves goalkeeper Fernando Pacheco mans the post in a 4-4-2 formation team.
