Songwriter and producer Kiddominant receives RIAA plaque as Fall is certified gold

Popular Nigerian songwriter and music producer, Ayoola Agboola, popularly known as Kiddominant, recently took to social media to share his great feat with fans.

The music maker was recently recognized for being the songwriter for popular singer, Davido’s hit track titled Fall.

Fall was certified gold after the sale of more than 500,000 copies of the Davido hit track.

Taking to his Twitter page, Kiddominant shared photos of himself holding the Recording Industry Association of America® (RIAA) plaque and said that it was the first ever awarded to an African.

Kiddominant then continued that he hoped to see more African songwriters and producers achieve such great feat.

He wrote:

“First ever RIAA Plaque for an African song! Hope to see more African producers & songwriters achieve this. Dream it, Then Real life it.”

On Instagram, Kiddominant thanked Davido for believing in the vision and also thanked those who streamed and bought the music.

He also explained further that Fall is the only African song to be certified by RIAA and the longest charting Afrobeat song in Billboard history.

He wrote:

“Plaques came in. I’m Super Grateful and I hope this motivates every African kid out there, you can do it too. Thanks @davidoofficial for believing in the vision and Thanks everyone who loved, streamed and bought this record.
PS : This is the only solo African song to be certified by RIAA & longest charting Afrobeats song in billboard history
