- The federal government has released the latest update for Batch C applicants of the N-power programme

The ministry of humanitarian affairs, disaster management and social development has disclosed the number and categories of jobs available to Batch C of the N-Power programme.

According to a statement issued by the ministry on Friday, July 3, this phase of the scheme will focus on the following areas of human endeavours: N-Teach; N-Health; N-Agro as well as N-Build, N-Creative and N-Tech, Daily Trust reports.

The ministry revealed further that while the N-Teach and N-Health are open only to graduates, graduates and non-graduates are eligible to apply to N-Agro as well as N- Build, N-Creative and N-Tech.

The minister, Sadiya Umar Farouq, noted that through this batch, the programme is opening doors of opportunity to young Nigerians through which they will acquire skills for personal empowerment.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that the ministry on Friday, June 19, spoke on when the application for recruitment into the N-Power scheme would begin.

Farouq announced that the online portal for application will be opened on Friday, June 26.

A statement released by the ministry's deputy director of information, Rhoda Iliya, in Abuja said, the commencement of the Batch C enrolment is due to far-reaching consultations.

Rhoda said it was also a review of the submissions on the reform and realignment of the programme for greater efficiency.

“Batch C is also being enrolled to provide opportunities for more Nigerian youths to access the programme, in furtherance of the president’s vision of lifting 100 million Nigerians out of poverty by creating opportunities that will enhance the productivity of the Nigerian youths for entrepreneurship," Iliya said in the statement sent to Legit.ng.

According to Iliya, Farouq disclosed that the Batch A and B of the programme comprising 500, 000 beneficiaries would be disengaged on Tuesday, June 30, and Friday, July 31, respectively.
