- President Trump is likely to be impeached in the next few hours

- If the articles of impeachment are approved, he will become only the third president in United States history to be impeached

The president of the United States of America Donald Trump is expected to be impeached in the next few hours as the country's House of Representatives commenced debates on the fate of his presidency.

Trump is being charged for obstruction of Congress and abuse of power related to his dealings with Ukraine.

The first article charges that the president used his public office to coerce a foreign government into attacking his political rival.

The second article charges that the president took extreme and unprecedented steps to obstruct our investigation into his conduct.

The votes on impeachment comes after a two-month inquiry by House Democrats.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that Trump, pleaded with all Americans and foreigners alike to pray for him over the impeachment move against him by lawmakers in the country.

In a tweet on his personal Twitter page, Trump said he did nothing wrong to warrant an impeachment allegedly orchestrated by the Democrats.

Continuing, Trump added that while such move against him is terrible, it should never again happen to another president.

"Can you believe that I will be impeached today by the Radical Left, Do Nothing Democrats, AND I DID NOTHING WRONG! A terrible Thing. Read the Transcripts. This should never happen to another President again. Say a PRAYER!" Trump said in a tweet.
