New video emerges of Jessica Cox, first licensed pilot to fly a plane with her feet

Impossibility is nothing and could even be an inspiration. Jessica Cox’s story is one of that. Despite the fact that she was born without arms due to her rare genetic defect, she has never allowed that to stop her from living a life in full.

She is a black belt holder in taekwondo and does other activities like a person with both arms would. She also plays the piano, as well as scuba diving. At the top of her extraordinariness is that she is the first licensed pilot without arms.

Jessica said many always see her not having arms as a limiting factor, but that she is here to prove them all wrong.

Her husband said if he were to describe her in three words, it would be “kind, positive and unstoppable”. Jessica’s journey to becoming a pilot started when a fighter-jet pilot approached her and asked if she would want to become one.

Jessica got her license on October 10, 2008, after she had trained for three years and seen fit to be able to fly light-sport aircraft to 10,000 feet.

Her can-do spirit had always been an obvious part of her as she finished the 40-mile part of El Tour de Tuscon, and in 2015 authored a self-help book, Disarm Your Limits, an autobiographical account of her life that inspires.

It should be noted that she graduated from the University of Arizona in 2005 with a degree in psychology with a minor in communications.
