- Yoruba leaders say they would not allow anybody humiliate Osinbajo

- According to the elders, going against Osinbajo is an affront against Yoruba race

- Meanwhile, some elders accuse Osinbajo of not doing anything for the people of South West

It seems the recent sacking of 35 aides to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has taken a new dimension as some Yoruba leaders say they would not allow anybody humiliate the number two man in the country.

According to the elders, any bad thing that happens to Osinbajo politically is an affront to the Yoruba race regardless of his political affiliation, Vanguard reports.

Apart from the sacking of Osinbajo's aides, recall that Buhari recently replaced the Economic Management Team (EMT) headed by Osinbajo with an Economic Advisory Council (EAC).

The number-two citizens had been heading the economic team since 1999 and Osinbajo in that tradition was the head of the team until recently.

Speaking on the alleged humiliation of Osinbajo, Prof Banji Akintoye, said the intimidation of Yoruba sons would not be allowed. He also said they are taking notes of what is happening to non Fulani people in the seat of government.

Going further, he added nobody should make the mistake of thinking that the Yoruba will be watching and allow their sons to be degraded and dehumanised.

However, on his part, Afenifere chieftain, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, said he the South West has not benefited from APC and as such, he has told the national leader of the party, Tinubu and VP Osinbajo to leave the party.

He said at the age of 91, the only thing he wants to see is a better Nigeria.

Meanwhile, spokesperson of Afenifere, Yinka Odumakin, said there is a plan to to humiliate Yemi Osinbajo and not the South West. He also accused the vice p[resident of not supporting the region since he became VP.

Meanwhile, recall that Legit.ng had reported that the presidency on Friday, November 8, confirmed the sacking of some aides attached to the office of Osinbajo.
