His video production career professionally kicked off in 2010 and he began directing music videos in 2012.

In 2013, Daps made a brief detour as he launched his music career as an artist but has since dropped the idea and focused more on creating memorable music videos.

In 2016 he directed the video for Migos’s single Bad and Boujee which went on to become a US number 1 and generated hundreds of millions of views.

Daps' best work can be said to be his stellar direction of Kendrick Lamar's King Kunta music video but his biggest achievement might be writing the concept for Iggy Azalea's Clueless-themed Fancy music video in 2014. The video won a MTV Video of the Year nomination and has amassed over 900 million views on Youtube.

His other nominations for big time awards are: BET awards 2018 video of the year nominee, BET awards 2017 Video of the Year nominee, VMTVbase 2018 Best Hip Hop Video nominee.
