JUST IN: INEC officially declares Buhari as winner in Osun
- APC presidential candidate, President Buhari, has the highest votes in Osun state
- INEC announced that Buhari scored 347,634 votes in the state
- PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, scored 337,377 votes
President Muhammadu Buhari, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Saturday’s presidential elections has won in Osun state.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced Monday afternoon, that President Buhari has the highest votes in Osun state.
Twenty party agents signed the result results according to the stat collation party.
Earlier, professor Toyin Ogundipe, the state collation officer announced at the INEC headquarters in Osogbo at about 12:25am on Monday, February 25, that Buhari scored 347,634 votes.
Ogundipe, who is the vice-chancellor of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) said Atiku Abubakar, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) scored 337,377 votes.

He said the total number of registered voters was 1,674,729, while the total number of accredited voters was 732,984.
Ogundipe added that the valid votes was 714,682, while rejected votes was 17,200. He said the number of votes cast was 731,882.
INEC has also officially declared President Muhammadu Buhari the winner of the presidential election conducted in Ekiti state.
In the result announced by the returning officer, Professor Idowu Olayinka, vice chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Buhari of the PDP polled 219,231 votes, while Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party got 154,032 votes. PDP 154,032.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Atiku Abubakar led in the results of Saturday, February 23, 2019 presidential election in Plateau state.
The election took place in all the 17 local government areas (LGAs) of the state.
Abubakar, in the results of the eight LGAs so far announced by the INEC is currently winning in six.
