There’s a difference between Buhari administration and PDP's regime - Osinbajo

- Yemi Osinbajo has said there is a big difference between the Buahri-led administration and that of the PDP

- He said this in reaction to a reminder that Nigerians do not see any difference between the APC and the PDP government it took over power from

Nigeria's Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday, January 16, said that the Buhari administration is superior to the PDP administration.

This is despite the fact that the administration has a huge presence of PDP members who had defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Osinbajo state this in reaction to the question of the moderator of the live Town Hall Meeting, Kadaria Ahmed, who reminded President Muhammadu Buhari and Osinbajo that Nigerians do not see any difference between the APC and the PDP government it replaced.

The Town Hall Meeting hashtagged #NGTheCandidates, took place in Abuja in partnership with MacArthur Foundation.

In a related development, Osinbajo questioned the Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme (SURE-P), a social investment programme introduced during the regime of former president Goodluck Jonathan.

The vice president fielding questions, during the town-hall meeting asked: "Who can point to one single beneficiary of the SURE-P scheme?”

Speaking on the social investment programmes initiated by the current administration, Osinbajo said the federal government had spent N20 billion on the Trader Moni no-interest loan.

Legit.ng previously reported that President Muhammadu Buhari said that he is healthy and has the physical strength to lead Nigeria again if re-elected in the forthcoming presidential election, adding that his appearances at the APC rallies testify to his agility.

The president made this known on Wednesday, January 16, while fielding questions from journalist Kadaria Ahmed at a Town Hall meeting aired live on NTA.

President Buhari said he has been to Kogi and other states to campaign during which he took questions from Nigerians and also highlighted his administration’s achievements since he since assuming office in 2015.
