Chelsea slam a staggering £200M on Real Madrid target Eden Hazard

- Chelsea tell Real Madrid to pay a world record fee to land their target Eden Hazard this summer

- The 27-year-old was impressive for his national team at the 2018 World Cup in Russia

- He is however tipped to replace Cristiano Rolando at the Santiago Bernabeu

FA Cup champions Chelsea have reportedly slammed a world-record fee of about £200 million on their star player Eden Hazard.

The Belgium international, who won bronze medal at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia has been heavily linked to replace Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid this summer.

But the Blues are doing everything they can to ensure they keep their man to have some level of stability under the new manager Maurizio Sarri after taking over from Conte this month.

Hazard is yet to sign a new deal with the Stamford Bridge outfit as his current contract with the club runs out in the summer of 2020

And according to Dailymail, the new boss is hoping to work with him and Willian, who has missed out on a move to Barcelona.

However, the Blues are trying to get the Belgian to sign a new contract which will see him earn £300,000-a-week at the London club.

Meanwhile, they will have to also deal with the Thibaut Courtois' situation as report in Spain claims the goalkeeper has agreed to join Real Madrid.

The shotstopper has just one more season on his current contract - meaning that if he doesn't sign a new deal before then, he can walk out of the club without Chelsea earning a dime from his move regardless of the value of the deal.

Meanwhile, they have already picked Everton's Jordan Pickford as his replacement but Everton have no desire to sell and will consider a new contract for their England international.

The west London club side are still talks with Juventus for defenders Daniele Rugani and Matteo Caldara, as they remain confident of landing Argentine forward Gonzalo Higuain but face competition from AC Milan, who like Chelsea pair Alvaro Morata and Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Morata is likely to leave should Higuain arrive, which would allow for a three-way deal where by Milan back away from the Juventus striker in order to get their hands on the Spaniard.

Legit.ng previously reported that Belgium star Eden Hazard has agreed terms with Real Madrid as Chelsea face the prospect of losing two of their top players, Daily Star quoting RMC Sport.

Zinedine Zidane who is a fan of Hazard, has left the club but a switch to the Spanish giants still remains likely.

The 27-year-old has hinted he wants to leave Stamford Bridge in an interview during the Russia 2018 World Cup.
