President Buhari expresses concern over opposition's enormous resources

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, June 1, expressed concern over what he said is the enormous resources at the disposal of the opposition which he said the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) may not be able to match.

Buhari stated this when he was visited at the Presidential Villa by members of the Buhari Media Organisation, Vanguard reports.

Legit.ng notes that the president expressed his gratitude to the group for their sacrifices just as he sympathised with them for losing their friends in a bid to support him without any financial benefit.

Recall that The Buhari Media Support Group (BMSG) transmuted into the Buhari Media Organisation (BMO) with greater focus on resetting the tone of political conversation in the country ahead of 2019 general elections.

While unveiling the new name and logo at a media parley on Friday, April 20, in Abuja, a former minister of information and communication, Alhaji Ibrahim Dasuki Nakande noted that: “For too long, we have allowed the opposition to take control of the media space while we will now be reacting."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a coalition of northern youths organisation under the aegis of Northern Youth Advocacy for Excellence, on Friday, May 25, declared their support to the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019.

The spokesman of the coalition, Hussaini Usman, said at a press briefing in Kaduna state, that the decision was reached at an extended executive meeting of the group held in Abuja on Sunday, May 20.
