Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that a video of Police IG Idris purportedly struggling to read in front of an audience in Kano state surfaced online. It was gathered that Idris had stammered and repeated words several times during the speech.

Following the report, Zonal PPRO Dolapo Badmus, in a new post shared on her IG page, maintained her loyalty is to the IGP, adding that if a doctored video is the only reason, to say that a gallant and hardworking IGP is not brilliant then you are delusional.

Meanwhile, the Kano police command dismissed reports that it has launched a manhunt for the journalist who released a trending video where the IGP was portrayed fumbling to read a speech.

The command in a press statement signed by Magaji Musa Majia, the police spokesperson in the state on Saturday, May 19, described the alleged manhunt for the journalist as false.
