Third group present at Famous Unity Fountain as Charly Boy, others converge

A new group, the Niger Delta Youths, are presently at the Unity Fountain to protest the level of corruption in Nigeria.

The third group's emergence comes after an attack on the Charly Boy led anti-Buhari protesters at the populous Wuse Market in Abuja.

The Niger Delta Youths said they will be marching to the Presidential Villa to make their demand on the fight against corruption known.

Speaking during the protest, the leader of the Concerned Nigerians, Deji Adeyanju, said the group will not be discouraged by the attack.

Adeyanju said the #ResumeOrResign protest will continue irrespective of attacks on it from all quarters.

Meanwhile, security at the Unity Fountain is tight with officers from the Nigerian Police Force, Department of State Services and Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps present at the venue.

Legit.ng earlier reported that the anti-Buhari group was attacked by marketers in Abuja most populous market.

This attack came after the group led by Charly Boy stormed Wuse market to garner support for the protest against President Muhammadu Buhari's long stay in London.

Charly Boy and his group were attacked by angry counter-protesters who are believed to be supporters of Buhari.

He was rescued by security operatives who shot tear-gas into the air to disperse the attackers and he was then whisked away to safety.
