Rev Oladunjoye made the statement on Friday, August 4 in his address at the second session of the twelfth synod of the Anglican Diocese of Owo, held at St Paul’s Anglican Church, Imoru town in Ose kocal government area of Ondo state.

The cleric said travelling abroad for several months within a four year term in office to attend to his health will not help the country.

He said: “We thank God for the President and for the way he had been ruling according to the law, but there is something wrong that we want the President to address.

The President has been ill for so many months of his tenure and so, is it not proper for the country to know the condition of the health of our President because he is no more a private personality?

“He is public property and if the President is not strong enough health-wise to continue as a leader of this country, it is better for him to resign so that another qualified individual can take up the office legitimately.”

Meanwhile, online newspaper, Sahara Reporters, has reported that the undisclosed medical condition which President Muhammadu Buhari is battling with is cancer related.

The newspaper which made the disclosure in a report dated August 6, 2017, also stated that recent visits to Buhari in London was staged by the cabal around the president to give the impression that the president had miraculously recovered.

Sahara Reporters however stated that such impression is far from the reality that the president’s health is deteriorating.

Citing a source, the medium stated that the highly publicized visits were designed to create the appearance that Buhari was regaining his health and was prepared to resume in office.

It reported that Buhari’s ability to receive visitors was no indication of improved health, but came after his completion of a course of treatment that lasted three months.
