Lauretta Onochie mocks PDP following shut-down of its Lagos secretariat

- Lauretta Onochie taunted the Peoples Democratic Party as she insinuated that the party’s problems had not been fixed by the recent Supreme Court judgement

- According to the presidential aide, Nigerians buried the former ruling party when they voted in 2015

- The party’s Lagos secretariat was shut-down by police on Thursday July 27, amidst a tussle between the Makarfi and Sheriff factions

The personal assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on social media, Lauretta Onochie, has mocked the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over the recent takeover of the party’s Lagos secretariat by policemen.

Onochie took jabs at the opposition party via her twitter page.

Legit.ng had earlier reported that a new twist emerged in the crisis rocking the PDP as the party’s Lagos secretariat was sealed off by policemen on Thursday, July 27.

The secretariat, located on Adekunle Fajuyi Way in Ikeja GRA, Lagos, had reportedly been taken over by heavily armed policemen earlier in the day.

The police-takeover comes amidst the tussle between factions of the party loyal to Ahmed Makarfi and Ali Modu Sheriff.

Following Onochie’s tweets, some of her followers responded with the following comments:

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, the ousted former national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) made a complete turn-around, after initially congratulating Ahmed Makarfi over his victory at the Supreme Court.

Sheriff stated that he was in shock over the ruling, and was waiting to be briefed by his lawyers about the situation.
