Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) on Thursday, April 22, announced plans for a five-day strike to protest the mass sack of workers by the Kaduna state government.

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) president, Ayuba Wabba, on Thursday, March 25, said citizens can't take another increment in the prices of petroleum products.

The NLC maintained that workers are agitated and are so convinced that with the political will of Governor Fayemi to pay their outstanding welfare and salaries

The organised labour and other groups in Nigeria have expressed dissent over the plans to remove minimum wage from the exclusive list by the National Assembly.

Protesters made their way into the National Assembly premises to press home their demands over the minimum wage bill that seeks to empower state governors.

Memeber of the NLC and TUC who are protesting the planned removal of minimum wage in Lagos have blocked the entrance to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu's office.

The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) are currently leading thousands of workers to the National Assembly as the nationwide protests continues.
