Arsenal took another huge step toward ending their long Premier League title drought after securing a tense 1-0 victory over West Ham United at the London Stadium on Sunday, May 10.
The decisive moment initially appeared to come in the 83rd minute when Leandro Trossard finally broke the deadlock after an intense battle.

The Belgian winger had earlier struck the post twice in quick succession before eventually seeing his effort deflect in off Tomas Soucek.
Mikel Arteta’s side looked set to celebrate a crucial win that would move them five points clear of Manchester City with only two matches remaining.
But deep into stoppage time, chaos erupted.
According to BBC Sport, West Ham thought they had rescued a dramatic equaliser when Callum Wilson bundled the ball past David Raya in the 95th minute, sparking wild celebrations among home supporters.
However, the joy was short-lived as VAR intervened and advised referee Michael Oliver to review the incident on the pitchside monitor.
After a lengthy delay, the goal was ruled out.

According to the league, VAR determined that Wilson committed a foul on Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya before forcing the ball into the net.
The Premier League Match Centre posted on X:
“#WHUARS, external – 90+5’ VAR OVERTURN After VAR review, the referee overturned the original decision of goal to West Ham United. Referee announcement: ‘After review, West Ham number 19 commits a foul on the goalkeeper. Final decision is direct free kick.’”
The decision immediately divided fans and pundits, with many arguing there was minimal contact, while others insisted goalkeepers require greater protection in crowded penalty-box situations.
VAR officials concluded that Wilson’s challenge prevented Raya from fairly contesting the ball, leading to the overturn.
For Arsenal, the decision could prove season-defining as the victory means the Gunners now control their own destiny in the title race, knowing two more wins would secure their first Premier League crown in 22 years.
Gary Neville reacts after VAR decision
Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville reacted passionately to the incident during live commentary, describing the decision as one of the most significant VAR moments English football has ever seen, Sky Sports reports.
“This is an earthquake, a tremor of a moment,” Neville said during the broadcast.
“Arsenal Football Club's first title in 22 years could rest on this. This is one of those moments where Arsenal might think their name is on the trophy...”
