West Ham United have sacked Graham Potter following his poor start in the 2025/26 English Premier League season.
The former Chelsea manager replaced Julen Lopetegui as head coach on a two-and-a-half-year contract in January 2025.
Potter guided the Hammers to an 11th-place finish last season but struggled this season, as the club currently sits in 19th position with one win and four losses.

West Ham United board have rated the performance of Graham Potter low following his sack.
According to the club official website, the board said the change became necessary following the unimpressive performance of the club.

The statement read that the assistant coach will handle the team before the appointment of another manager. The club statement read:
"Results and performances over the course of the second half of last season and the start of the 2025/26 season have not matched expectations.
"We believe that a change is necessary in order to help improve the team’s position in the Premier League as soon as possible.
"The process of appointing a replacement is underway. The Club will be making no further comment at this time.
The 50-year-old was dismissed after just eight months, with the club struggling in 19th place in the Premier League, losing their last home match to Crystal Palace.

Santo signs for West Ham
Nuno Espirito Santo has joined West Ham United as their new coach after the sack of Graham Potter.
According to SkySports, the Spanish international makes a heroic return to the Premier League 18 days after his sack by Nottingham Forest. Santo said:

The 51-year-old led Forest to their highest Premier League finish since 1994/95 season, placing seventh and qualifying them for the UEFA Europa League.

Leverkusen sack Erik ten Hag
