Chelsea bounced back from a goal down to beat West Ham, coached by their former manager Graham Potter, thanks to goals from Joao Pedro, Pedro Neto, Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo and Trevoh Chalobah.
Enzo Maresca confirmed after the game that the forward was struggling with a groin problem and played through it against Crystal Palace, but did not want further risk.
Maresca claimed that he will undergo a scan the following day to ascertain the extent of the injury and how long he will be out for, but there has yet to be an official statement.

The Blues will face neighbours Fulham in Saturday's lunchtime kick-off at Stamford Bridge, and fans are asking whether their star man will be fit for the match.
According to Chelsea Chronicles, journalist Simon Phillips claimed that the attacker had undergone a scan, and it is believed that there is no major problem, but he is unlikely to feature against Fulham.

“Cole Palmer is definitely going to be rested against Fulham, and I'm scared they'll punish us. Fulham is a very physical side, and we need Cole Palmer's intelligence to defeat them.”

“Let him rest against Fulham and Brentford. We have good players capable enough to win those 2 matches for us. He should return against United as he loves cooking them. 🤣🤣🤣”

“Even before this news, everyone was saying he should be rested for Fulham & then he has the international break to recover. Should have always been the plan.”
The Ballon d'Or nominee was spotted at Notting Hill Carnival. He disguised himself with a hat and long hair, giving fans the relief that he couldn't have spent time out if his injury was serious.
