Arsenal thrashed Leeds United 5-0 in their second match of the 2025/26 English Premier League on Saturday night, August 23.
Dutch player Jurrien Timber scored the first goal in the 34th minute, heading in a set piece from Declan Rice.
In the 45+1 minute, Timber turned the provider for Busayo Saka to increase the goal tally to two. Saka slotted the ball past Lucas Perri before being forced out in the second half due to injury.

Gyokeres opens his goalscoring account
In the 48th minute, former Sporting Lisbon forward Viktor Gyokeres found the back of the net after locating Riccardo Calafiori's pass from the left flank.
Arsenal increased the goal tally to four in the 56th minute as Timber scored a brace after Leeds defenders failed to clear a corner kick from Declan Rice.
Striker Gyokeres, a £64m signing, scored a 95th-minute penalty after 15-year-old substitute Max Dowman was fouled by Anton Stach, per BBC.
The Swedish player became just the second player to net two goals on his home Premier League debut for us after Gabriel Jesus vs Leicester in August 2022.

Arsenal unveil Eze
Arsenal unveiled Eberechi Eze at the Emirates Stadium before their match against Leeds United.
According to The Independent, Gunners agreed a deal worth £60m, including £8m in add-ons, for the 27-year-old to become their seventh summer signing.
The former Crystal Palace player wore an Arsenal jersey and jeans, waving at the cheering fans.

Arteta warns EPL teams about Gykeres
Legit.ng earlier reported that Mikel Arteta has fired a warning to Arsenal rivals ahead of the Premier League season after Viktor Gyokeres scored his first goal for the club.
Arsenal beat Spanish club Athletic Bilbao 3-0 in the Emirates Cup, with goals coming from Gyokeres, Bukayo Saka and German forward Kai Havertz.
