The Super Falcons of Nigeria are the champions of Africa's Women's football for the 10th time after beating hosts Atlas Lionesses of Morocco 3-2 at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat on Saturday, July 26.
Morocco led in the 12th minute after captain Ghizlane Chebbak picked up the ball following Halimatu Ayinde's miscalculation, beating Chiamaka Nnadozie.
In the 24th minute, Morocco doubled the lead after Sanaa Msoudy found the back of the net to compound the woes of the Super Falcons further.

Nigeria sprang to life in the second half as Esther Okoronkow converted a penalty kick in the 64th minute after a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) review showed that Nouhaila Benzina handled Folashade Ijamilusi's cross in the penalty area.
Ten minutes later, the 10-time champions leveled up when Okoronkwo turned creator with a pull-back that Ijamilusi easily shot and scored.
Super Falcons would have their third in the 88th minute after a deep free kick found the outstretched toe of substitute Jennifer Echegini, who poked the ball home from close range, per ESPN.
Nigeria captain Rasheedat Ajibade was adjudged the Player of the Tournament, two-time CAF Best Women's Goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie was awarded the goalkeeper of the tournament after conceding three goals, while Justine Madugu bagged the Coach of the Tournament, per CAF.

Adamawa indigene Kada Ngbale said Adamawa-born coach Justine Madugu has brought joy to the hearts of Nigerians following the historic win.
In a post on X, Ngbale said Madugu was able to use his tactical knowledge to blend an ageing team with younger players.
The Numan native stressed that the former Adamawa Queens gaffer would have been dragged by the nation if he had lost the final to Morocco. He said:
"A proud son of the Middle Belt from Numan, Adamawa State, Nigeria, has sealed his place in the pantheon of great Nigerians after winning a 10th title with the @NGSuper_Falcons."
