Spanish giants Barcelona have confirmed that they have reach an agreement with all their players over wage cuts this season after the club found themselves in serious financial crisis.

Barcelona got into this situation due to the serious disturbance of deadly COVID-19 in which all football games were put on hold for three months in Spain and other parts of the world.

The club's chiefs and the players have been on discussion over wage cuts for months before the Catalans got the breakthrough on Friday night, November 27.

According to the report on Daily Mail, Barcelona are deferring £45m (€50m) of variable payments over a three-year period on top of that and it still falls short of the £170m figure they target.

Messi is the current highest earner at the club as he pockets around £500,000 per week (£26m per year) while Antoine Griezmann takes in around £249,000-a-week (£15.3m) and Philippe Coutinho £180,000-a-week (£9.4m).

Meanwhile, Barcelona are currently not doing well this season in the Spanish as they are currently occupying 13th position on the table with 11 points.
