Super Eagles lose 2-1 to Togo in WAFU Cup in Senegal
Super Eagles of Nigeria were beaten by the Hawks of Togo at the ongoing WAFU Cup in Senegal as they failed to qualify for the semi finals.
The 2018 CHAN finalists will now compete in the plate section of the competition in Senegal following the narrow defeat.
The Nigerian team went behind as early as the 15th minute of the match as the Tologolese went up 1-0 through Moise Kossivi Adjah.

But Lobi Stars striker Sikiru Alimi equalized for the home based Super Eagles side in the 33rd minute as both sides were level on the night.
Three minutes before half time the Hawks restored the lead again through Kangnivi Ama Tchoutchoui as they took a 2-1 lead into the break.

The match did not produce no further goals as the Togolese national side went away with the win over the Nigerian team.
Imama Amapakabo' side were earlier in the week beaten 4-1 by the same opponents in the first leg of their 2020 African Nations Championship final qualifying round fixture lash weekend in Lome.
The second leg will be played on October 19, as the Nigerian Team B side will be looking to overturn a three-goal cushion.
