- United will be hoping to stage an epic revenge on the Serie A giants after suffering a 1-0 defeat in the first leg at Old Trafford

Juventus have been hit with a triple injury blow ahead of their Group H clash against Manchester United slated for Wednesday, November 7 in Turin.

The trio of Douglas Costa, Blaise Matuidi and Mario Mandzukic are currently nursing different injuries and now face a race against fitness ahead of their crunch clash against the Red Devils.

They won the reverse fixture at Old Trafford late last month and a chance to do a double on their visitors suffers heavy injuries.

Matuidi is said to have picked up a bruise on his right hip during his side's 3-1 victory over Cagliari, whereas Costa needed physiotherapy treatment on a thigh injury.

On his part, Mandzukic did not feature in Juve's weekend clash, but handed his side a boost by taking part in light training on Sunday, November 4.

Meanwhile, centre-back Giorgio Chiellini and winger Federico Bernardeschi continued their recovery after injury and the duo should be available for selection against United.

The Italian giants will host United second leg of the Champions League, with the Old Lady in full control of Group H.

Jose Mourinho will be hoping his side gives a better showing away from home, having suffered a 1-0 defeat against the Italians in the reverse fixture played at Old Trafford.

Paulo Dybala netted the solitary goal that condemned the Red Devils to an embarrassing defeat.

Legit.ng recalls that Paulo Dybala's lone goal was all that Juventus needed to beat Manchester United in their Champions League clash at Old Trafford.

It was Cristiano Ronaldo's second return to the stadium since he left the club in the summer of 2009 and join Real Madrid in a mega deal back then.

The Italian side after the win consolidated their leadership on the group table with nine points after three games.
