Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been favoured to become the next tactician to leave the Premier League after their 3-1 loss to Leicester City, Daily Mail reports.

Leicester City recorded a sensational win over the Reds in a Premier League game at the King Power Stadium.

Mohamed Salah opened the scoring for Liverpool but James Maddison, Jamie Vardy and Harvey Barnes wrapped up the win in ecstatic fashion.

The German coach shot to the top of the list after admitting that the Reds’ title hopes were over after the club collapsed in the second half of the season and on a losing streak.

Reigning Premier League kings are now 13 points behind Manchester City who in contrast have equalled nine straight games.

Jurgen Klopp says top four is now Liverpool's 'main target' but they are now looking to launch a bid for impressive Leeds forward Raphinha this summer in a bid to bolster their attack in the coming season.

The manager has made the player a transfer target hoping he would help reduce the attack burden on Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.

The reigning Premier League champions have been very poor in their recent games as they lack the attacking in-depth which consequently led to back-to-back defeats.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has been named the Premier League manager of the month for January.

The Spanish born tactician has now won the prestigious eighth time after guiding the Citizens to victories in all nine games they played.

And this is the first time any club would achieve such a feat in the history of English football in a calendar month.

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager is now on the same level with the likes of Jurgen Klopp, Martin O'Neill and Harry Redknapp in terms of the award.
