Lamido tackles Tinubu
Sule Lamido, a former governor of Jigawa state, told the BBC that his ultimate goal is to see Nigeria develop.

Lamido added:
"If he (President Tinubu) is seen to be wrong, there is nothing wrong in telling him the truth.”
Legit.ng recalls that in July, Lamido acknowledged the challenges currently facing his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), but addressed rumours suggesting his membership with the African Democratic Congress (ADC). He emphasised that he would be the last person to join ADC coalition.
Top members of the ADC coalition include former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Anambra governor Peter Obi, erstwhile interior minister Rauf Aregbesola, former Senate President David Mark, ex-sports minister Bolaji Abdullahi, former federal lawmaker, Senator Ishaku Elisha Abbo, and ex-presidential aide Lauretta Onochie.
Others include Abubakar Malami, a former minister attorney general of the federation (AGF), ex-Rivers state governor Rotimi Amaechi, and two-time governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-Rufai.
Lamido, 77, expressed concerns that the current mission of the ADC coalition is more about personal ambitions rather than a collective vision for the nation ahead of the 2027 elections.
The former minister of foreign affairs expressed disappointment with his party, but suggested that for the PDP to redefine itself, its members and leaders must be ready to adhere to the party’s founding rules, constitution, and philosophy.
