Drama As Kaduna Councillor Appoints 18 Special Advisers, Gives Reason

A councillor representing Kinkiba Ward in Soba local government area of Kaduna state, Sunusi Hashim, has appointed 18 special advisers to strengthen his grassroots administration.

The aides, as reported by The Punch, were inaugurated on Sunday, September 7, during a ceremony held at L.E.A. Primary School, Kinkiba, which was attended by APC stakeholders, party loyalists, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and community members.

Hashim revealed that the appointments were made in recognition of the appointees’ loyalty, dedication, and service to the progress of Kinkiba Ward.

“I urged them to serve with respect, integrity, honesty, transparency, and compassion for the people.
“My ambition is to work collaboratively as a team for the development of our community and the advancement of our great party,” he stated.

Hashim makes fresh pledge to Uba Sani's govt

The councillor expressed gratitude to Governor Uba Sani for what he described as consistent support to councillors across the state, particularly through the provision of fertiliser for distribution to farmers.

Hashim promised that his team would align with the governor’s transformative agenda and deliver projects to the community.

The newly appointed special advisers include:

  3. Shitu Ahmad (Principal Private Secretary),

  6. Abbas Jafar (Problem Matters),
  7. Jibrin Lawal (Agricultural Development),
  8. Aina’u Kabir (Women Affairs),
  9. Sale Abdurrahman (Public Affairs),
  10. Umar Shitu (Political Matters),
  11. Tasiu Umar (Media and Publicity),
  12. Salisu D. Tela (Health),
  13. Yusuf Abdulkareem (Elders),
  14. Buhari Abubakar (Education),

Rivers LG chairman appoints 230 aides and advisers

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that Chijioke Ihunwo, Obio-Akpor LGA chairman, has appointed 100 new special assistants, adding to the 130 advisers appointed earlier.

The appointments occur amid the Wike-Fubara political conflict in Rivers State and increased autonomy for LGAs under federal government reforms.

Ihunwo’s strategic moves highlight his alignment with Governor Fubara and the growing financial independence of LGAs in Nigeria.
