The governor was said to have joined President Tinubu on his second visit to Brazil, during which the president signed the deal with the company and several others with the government in the name of Nigeria.
Governor Bago's video and photos, which have been shared and distributed on social media, have started generating reactions from some Nigerians. Below are some of their reactions:
Femi Peters wrote:
"Bago's alliance with Tinubu goes beyond likeness; it's basically a case of Lagos and Niger State's economic and food security alliance with Lagos State. Lagos State bought two hundred thousand acres of land in Niger for agriculture, and the Rice they produce in Nigeria goes to feed the Imota rice mill in Lagos. The relationship between the president and Lagos State is deep, economic and beneficial."
Fidel Otuyal commented:
"Tinubu is a Leadership Training School. That's what he does best. He's grooming the younger generation of men and women for tomorrow. Bago is not sitting down there for nothing. He's building his national network. He has given Lagos 1,000 hectares of land for mechanised farming."
Cupher reacted:
"I am seeing the CEO of NIGER FOODS. That man and BAGO Na 5 and 6. Dr Sammy Adigun, a global agriculturalist, is also the chairman of NFS Limited in Niger State."
Michael Akinsuyi said:
"This love from gov Umaru Bago to PBAT is personal, honestly. I watched his interview on TV where he called PBAT his father."
Oluwaseun Olatunde tweeted:
"My mind is saying something to me, and I am trusting it. The way Tinubu dey operate... Bago is fit to be our next president. Just like he brought Fashola from nowhere, this is for those with the third eye."
