Anambra youths condemn politicians' verbal attacks on Peter Obi

Legit.ng earlier reported that youths of Agulu in Anaocha Local Government Area, Anambra State, have cautioned politicians against making negative comments about their kinsman, former Anambra Governor, Peter Obi, during campaigns in the community.

The youths stated this in a statement signed by the group chairman and secretary, Maduagwu Eric-Kenny, and Chamberlain Egoh, respectively, in Awka, the state capital, on Wednesday, August 20, as reported by The Punch. The youths condemned the act against Obi, who is also the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general election, as what they described as 'unfounded attacks' from desperate politicians seeking votes.

The youths expressed worry that certain politicians visiting Agulu to seek support tend to make offensive remarks about Obi, despite the prior benefits they received from his generosity and political backing.
