2023: APC Faction in Rivers Declares Support for Tinubu, Reveals What Will Happen When He Becomes President

Port Harcourt, River state - Some stalwarts of the Senator Magnus Abe-led faction of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers state have reportedly endorsed the party's national leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for president in 2023.

PM News reported that the APC faction promised to deliver the state the the former governor of Lagos state if he secures the ruling party’s presidential ticket for the 2023 general election.

The APC stalwarts openly declared their support at Freedom House, Senator Abe campaign Secretariat in GRA Phase 2, Port Harcourt, on Saturday, November 13.

Everybody will "chop" when Tinubu becomes president

Wogu Boms, one of the APC chieftains, said it has become clear that the APC national leader will emerge president come 2023.

His words:

“It has become clearer that Tinubu will be president. When Tinubu becomes president, everybody will chop; it’s not like this one that only one man is chopping.
“We were the ones that made Buhari president; we will make Tinubu president.”

On his part, Senator Wilson Ake said Tinubu has the competence to rule Nigeria and dismissed the argument about the APC leader's age.

He was quoted to have said:

“When Tinubu was working for APC, nobody talked about his age. Now they are saying he is old.
"When you say ‘age-age-age’, you are not serious. Competence should not be traded for age. The young local government chairmen that we have, are they doing anything spectacular?”

2023 presidency: Group vows to drag Tinubu to court, gives reasons

In a related development, a group has vowed to drag Tinubu to court should he fail to contest for the presidency in the 2023 general elections.

The group, Tinubu Support Organisation (TSO), said it was issuing the threat on the APC leader because he is the right man for the job who would bring Nigeria to the desired development process.

The director-general of TSO, Aminu Sulaiman while speaking at the inauguration of the organisation in Osun state said his team would compel the former governor of Lagos state to contest for the 2023 presidential election.
