A former governor of Jigawa state and chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Sule Lamido, has faulted the activities of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the country.
While rating the performance of the APC administration so far, Lamido described the ruling party as a barren party that is unable to deliver good governance for the country.
He noted that the ruling party is power-driven but lacks the capacity to bring about the desired change Nigerians are demanding for.

“All they (APC) say is PDP is dirty but they are poaching on our members to come and build their party. APC taking PDP members into their fold is corruption.
“Nobody in APC is original. The party is very corrupt.”
Speaking on the just concluded convention of the PDP and chances of the party in the 2023 election, Lamido expressed optimism of victory for his party, adding the outcome of the convention signified a great hope for the country.
“The convention was not a PDP convention but a Nigerian convention because of the level of insecurity, divisions and bad economy in the country today, Nigerians are yearning for change.”
He described the PDP as a party that had the interest of the ordinary Nigerians at heart right from the outset, adding that the vision of the party was to restore hope to Nigerians.
In his reaction, the APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Yekini Nabena, told the newspaper in a telephone chat last night that:
“We’ll allow the PDP to make their noise while we do our underground work and see on that day whether the APC is barren.
“The APC has given birth to triplets. We’ve already given birth to three of their (PDP) governors and we’re still pregnant. And we are going to deliver another set of triplets.”
PDP National Convention: We’re now ready to rescue Nigeria, says Okowa
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state has said that the successful conduct of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s national convention was a pointer to the party's readiness to rescue Nigeria from the current hopelessness that pervades the country.
Okowa stated this while speaking on Channels Television’s "Politics Today" on Monday, November 1 monitored by Legit.ng.
He said that Nigerians were tired of the rising insecurity and economic crisis ravaging the country, adding PDP had through the success of the convention, sent the right message to Nigerians that it was properly positioned to change the ugly narrative and gloom in the country.
