2023: Tinubu's Campaigner Dares APC, Inaugurates Parallel Executive

Ado-Ekiti - A parallel All Progressives Congress (APC) executives at the ward and local government levels has been inaugurated by Senator Adedayo Adeyeye, the former minister of state for works in Ekiti state.

According to The Nation, Adeyeye, the national chairman, South West Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA) 2023, on Thursday, October 21, said the congresses that produced the executives were authentic.

The SWAGA boss speaking in Ado-Ekiti, described the Paul Omotoso-led executives elected by a faction loyal to Governor Kayode Fayemi as impostors, adding that its excos were recognised by SWAGA, The Punch added.

However, Segun Dipe, the state APC publicity secretary belonging to Fayemi’s group, described the inauguration as a mere jamboree.

Dipe noted that there was no representative of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) or APC from Abuja at the congress.

APC governors backing Tinubu for presidency

Adeyeye had earlier said that 16 APC governors are solidly supporting the presidential aspiration of former Lagos state governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

He noted that the governors have a keen interest in the actualisation of Tinubu’s presidential bid.

According to him, the state executives were queuing behind the APC stalwart because of what he called Tinubu's administrative acumen, mental capacity, rare leadership quality, and unequalled political structures which cut across the six geo-political zones.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that the brewing crisis within the APC Rivers state chapter had taken a different turn. The camp who is loyal to the Senator Magnus Abe faction of the party on Tuesday, October 19, inaugurated its parallel executive.

According to the report, the ceremony took place at Freedom House, a campaign secretariat set up by Senator Abe located in the GRA area of Port Harcourt.

The officials include Golden Chioma as state chairman, Mike Amakiri, Deputy Chairman, Inye Jack as Secretary, and Joy Woko, state woman leader.
