Kenya Airways has released an official statement confirming that a passenger died aboard one of its flights en route from Nairobi to Lagos on Tuesday, 6 October 2026.

According to a statement published by the airline's Corporate Communications team on 7 October 2026, the emergency unfolded at around 21:20 local Nigerian time, roughly 20 minutes before the aircraft was scheduled to land.

The passenger was found unresponsive, and the crew immediately began administering first aid in line with their training.

The aircraft touched down at Murtala Muhammed International Airport at 21:41 hrs. Medical personnel who attended to the passenger upon landing confirmed that he had already passed away.
