Nigerians have paid tributes to popular Nigerian biker Orowale Kolapo, widely known on Facebook as Kola Onifoto, who lost his life in a lone motorbike crash.
Following his death, his recent Facebook post, where he made a promise to his father, was revisited.

Punch reported that Kola was involved in the crash on Sunday, March 1, while embarking on what he tagged as his first solo motorcycle trip outside Lagos.

Friends later revealed on Facebook that he had been involved in the accident and was initially rushed to the emergency unit of the Federal Road Safety Corps at 7UP, Ojota and was subsequently transferred to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, where well-wishers continued to pray for his recovery on social media.
Kola reportedly succumbed to his injuries in the early hours of Monday, March 2, though this claim has been disputed by some of his friends, who insisted that he died on the spot on Sunday.
Netizens revisit Kola's post about dad
As many continued to mourn, a recent post Kola Onifoto wrote about his father on his Facebook page was revisited by netizens.
He had shared what happened when he visited his father and what he promised his father since they now lived close by.
The Facebook post read:
"It has been a lot, managing dad’s eye and accepting reality that he may never see like us again. It has been a weight on him too, some days he reacts and may be angry at himself and some days my mom could be on the receiving end (she sef sabi show shege so nor put mouth for their matter)

"For almost a month now, he said a snake has been in his room, we have fumigated, we have called some snake whisperers, e don even call boys to move everything in his room to look for the snake but they didn’t find anything.
