Man Who Brought Wife to UK After Marriage Reportedly Gets Her Deported to Nigeria

A UK-based Nigerian man has reportedly had his wife deported to Nigeria after her alleged incessant complaints about him and his job.

The man had married the lady in Nigeria and decided to process her visa to join him in the United Kingdom.

A TikTok user, @chiomaqueencysls, who shares people’s true life stories online, narrated the man’s experience on her page.

UK-based man deports wife to Nigeria

According to the woman's story, the man, who works as a carer, sponsored his wife to join him in the UK after they married in Nigeria.

However, she reportedly changed when she arrived in the UK after noticing that he didn’t have a car and lived in a shared apartment.

The wife reported the man to her family members back in Nigeria, stating that the man claimed to be what he was not, and decided to always see faults in whatever he does.

Quoting the man, the TikTok user said:

“She must see a reason to complain, to the extent that started disrespecting me, saying that she tought I had a better job, house, and cars, not knowing that I’m an ordinary carer. I remember telling her what I do even before marriage. But on getting to the UK, she changed.”

The man confided in his friend concerning the case, and they came up with a plan to deport the wife to Nigeria.

He tricked his wife into returning to Nigeria and visited the Home Office in the UK to remove her as his dependent.

His words:

“What she doesn’t know is that the first week she landed Nigeria, I called Home Office and requested that her name be removed from my visa. So now she can’t even come back to the UK.”

Can UK dependent’s visa be cancelled?

According to a document by the UK government, a UK resident can contact the Home Office for cancellation of their dependent’s visa if the relationship breaks down.

The document states:

“A UK settled person contacts the Home Office with information that their spouse or partner, who arrived 4 months ago with a spouse visa, has left them. As the marriage or partnership no longer exists, and the individual has outstanding permission to stay, you must consider referring the case for cancellation.”
