Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old man accused of killing conservative US activist Charlie Kirk, reportedly surrendered to authorities voluntarily.

Why Tyler Robinson surrendered to police

According to a report shared online by 7NewsAustralia, Robinson turned himself in because he feared being shot by police.

The Washington County Sheriff disclosed that Robinson handed himself in, accompanied by his parents, the day after the shooting.

His peaceful surrender was done to prevent a standoff with a SWAT team at either his family's residence or apartment.
