In her post, the lady identified as Abigail Ndah said she was accepted into the North Carolina State University to study for free.

She will be pursuing a PhD in plant pathology. She said:

"This might be a little late… but! I’m happy to announce that I began my PhD in Plant Pathology and also as a Genetics and Genomics Scholar this Fall at North Carolina State University. It’s been such a journey getting here."

One remarkable thing about the success is that Abigail did not go through masters before applying for her PhD.

She said:

"It’s a fully funded PhD. A direct PhD with a Bachelor’s degree. I don’t have first class, it’s just 4.27 CGPA. No WES evaluation, no TOEFL or IELTS because my school considers Nigeria as an English-speaking country. I have two research publications and research experience."

Man gets UK visa after bagging scholarship

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that a graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, travelled to the UK to further his studies under a scholarship.

Chizoba Victor Ejiofor's travel documents were approved, and he got a visa to proceed to the UK.

He left to study under a scholarship worth £33,000 (over N68 million), according to a post by education activist Alex Onyia.
