A lady's reunion with her father in Nigeria has been trending online after she shared a video of the encounter on social media.

The lady had travelled from overseas to attend her grandfather's burial without informing her father, hoping to surprise him.

Lady disappointed by dad's reaction to seeing her

The clip, posted by @n_nonyee on TikTok, captured the lady's anticipation turning to shock as her father's reaction was far from what she had expected.

Instead of joy and excitement, her father appeared expressionless and even angry at seeing her.

He questioned her decision to return home without telling him, seemingly displeased that he had not been informed of her plans.

"Why did you come back and you didn't tell me? Why will you come to Nigeria and you didn't tell me?" he repeatedly asked his daughter.

The lady lamented that his behaviour was in contrast to the other family members, who were reportedly excited to see their loved ones.

She said:

"POV: You came to suprise your family in Nigeria for your grandpa's burial and this was your dad's reaction. Others were excited to see their children, e reach my papa turn he just wasn't having it. Oluwa ooo."
