A Nigerian man is happy that he is able to save some money using his Opay banking app.

According to the man, he opted into an automatic saving system which deducts some amounts from his account and saves for him.

In a post he shared on X, Alusi said he let the money in the app for one month.

In the month of May, Alusi said he was able to save N14.7 million using the automatic saving method.

He said that if for the automatic deduction, he would have spent the money recklessly.

Also, he shared a screenshot which shows that the money he saved has also accumulated some interest.

For the N14.7 million that he saved, he got about N42,350 as interest on it.

He wrote:

"Good month. Saved 14.7m (money I could have spent recklessly if opay wasn’t deducting it daily)."

According to Alusi, his biggest win will be to get his mother a house.

He said:

"I think my biggest win (in terms of milestone, not liquidity) would be getting my mom a house. Let’s do more."

Man display show much he saved in Opay

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that a Nigerian man had motivated internet users to have a savings culture by displaying his OPay savings balance.

He encouraged people to make use of any of the available savings platforms, noting that no amount is too small to save.
