Reactions as lady changes her church

"I won’t downplay how you feel about what your pastor said, and I’m not here to judge your decision to leave. However, I would have found your choice more compelling if it were based on weightier issues, for example, if the Gospel wasn’t being preached, or if the church’s doctrine on money was clearly unbiblical, etc. The truth is, pastors like anyone else sometimes speak on matters they don’t fully understand, especially outside the scope of what they’re truly called to teach. Here’s my suggestion: Make a list of the core marks the Bible gives for a healthy church. That way, even if you occasionally hear something misguided, you can evaluate whether those essentials are still intact because at the end of the day, no church is perfect. It is sad we have to lose godloving people who deemed it fit to come to church because we won't stick to preaching what we were meant to be preaching. It is well."
