Prophet Emmanuel Okose, the founder of Evidence Nation, has criticised members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) over the social media criticism that met Pastor Adeboye's N10 billion request.
Adeboye had requested N10 billion from his members, whom he referred to as 'his children,' to fund the ongoing development of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) camp project.

He made the request during the church's August convention and came under fire on social media. Coming to the defence of Adeboye, Prophet Emmanuel faulted RCCG members for not doing enough on social media to stand behind their church head.
Why prophet is ashamed of RCCG members
Emmanuel, in a Facebook post, referred to those who criticised Adeboye as idiots who lack home training and don't understand the value of the covering that the RCCG general overseer provides.
He maintained that people should be very happy to make donations to Adeboye as it was an opportunity to sow. He decried the attack against the church in Nigeria and added that he was ashamed of RCCG members for not defending Adeboye. His Facebook post partly read:
"...Social media has made many people stupid. A man like Daddy Adeboye asks you to give, you should be the happiest because you know that it's a good ground to sow. But idiots who don't understand fatherhood and covering can't understand.
"The hatred against the church in Nigeria is annoying. Did he ask you for money for personal use? He told you what the money is for, and he made it clear that he is not forcing anyone, and it is not by force... What exactly is wrong with this generation?

"We don't take it upon ourselves to fight or speak for him. God defends his own by himself in his own way. We have seen it and understood it too so we let God fight and we hold our peace."

"Those who are against it do not have a spirit of knowledge in them. If you know how people were supporting the work of GOD in the scripture. Those that sold their landed properties sold it out and it was not by force so as Daddy Adeboye had said not by force. Had it been he forced it, we will know it's against the scripture. So there's no one that sacrifice with tears that will not reap or harvest with joy. GOD bless Papa . GOD bless RCCG at large.

Man reacts to Adeboye's N10 billion request
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a man had given four reasons that Adeboye was not wrong to ask for billions from his members.
He said the pastor did not manipulate members with promises of riches if they gave. He also said the request was specifically directed to his children.
According to the man, he would have been the first to call Adeboye out if he had attached a promise of blessings to his monetary request.
